Conical Sealing Grommets IP67

We offer a range of Conical Sealing Grommets that allow cables to be passed through sheet metal panels while offering protection against dust, dirt and water ingress. The Sealing Grommets can seal a wire to a rating of IP67; meaning that it has passed the test EN 60529. This is an industry standard test that proves the part allows a seal offering protection against being fully submerged in water for 30 minutes in a depth of up to one meter. Installation Tip: The grommet should be installed in the panel first, and then can be perforated by inserting the cable into place, which causes the grommet to grip against the cable tightly and provide the seal.

We offer three styles of IP67 grommet,

• Larger Conical shaped grommets which provide the best seal.
• Low Profile grommets which have the smallest footprint.
• Strain Relief, where the grommet offers mechanical support to the cable.

Conical Sealing Grommets are the heaviest duty IP rated grommet that we offer. It offers the greatest sealing as the cable is sealed in two places at each end of the grommet and has the thickest wall sections. Conical grommets are produced to cover most metric or PG sized holes.

The most common material used is EPDM, as it has extremely good resistance to weathering, ozone and UV exposure. Offering a very good long term seal. EPDM is also resistant from -40°C to +110°C.

The EPDM is produced in:

• Black – RAL9005
• Dark Grey - RAL7001
• Light Grey - RAL7035

These are also offered in Neoprene, which should be selected as it offered better resistance to many common oils, greases and petrochemicals. Neoprene is also resistant from -30°C to +100°C
