Latches

Vital Parts stocks a range of specialist latches which can be used to secure cabinets, enclosures, hatches, machinery, and other applications. They are stocked in a range of different materials and styles, working like other latches which use a mechanism that allows them to lock and release with the use of a lever, button, or other type of actuator. The main types of latches that Vital Parts stocks are: Adjustable Toggle Latches, Sprung Toggle Latches, Lockable Latches, Bonnet Latches and Grabber Catch Latches.

  • Adjustable Toggle Latches - these are commonly used in industrial settings and are available in a variety of sizes, materials, and styles. They provide a reliable and secure way to keep enclosures closed and are often used in applications where vibration or shock may cause traditional fasteners to come loose.
  • Sprung Toggle Latches- these are equipped with a spring-loaded mechanism. This mechanism applies tension to the latch when it is in the closed position, ensuring that it remains securely fastened. When the latch is released, the spring mechanism allows the hook or U-shaped latch to disengage from the receiving plate or hook, allowing the enclosure to be opened.
  • Lockable Latches - these provide a reliable and secure way to keep enclosures closed, and their locking mechanism ensures that only authorized individuals are able to access the contents of the enclosure.
  • Bonnet Latches - these are commonly used for automotive applications as they are highly resistant to chemicals and have an anti-freeze property.
  • Grabber Catch Latches - these are commonly used for electrical enclosures, motorhomes and marine vessels as they have low heat and conductive properties.
