Heavy Duty Concealed Hinges

Our Heavy Duty Concealed Hinges are fully concealed when doors and cabinets are closed; they are ideal for industrial enclosure doors which require increased stability due to their weight.

They have a toolless mechanism for the complete removal of doors via a mating part pin and circlip, which allows for them to be easily accessed and maintained. As well as being applicable to a range of settings, these hinges have an aesthetic finish when installed because they are hidden.

These Heavy Duty Concealed Hinges are available in 316 Stainless Steel and Chrome Plated Die Cast Zinc variants:

1. 316 Stainless Steel Hinge with mating part and pin

  • Marine Grade
  • Resistant to salt water and Chloride

2. Chrome Plated Die Cast Zinc Hinge with Zinc Plated Steel mating part and Nickel Plated Steel pin

  • Aesthetic - shiny
  • Hydrophobic - protects against corrosion

How do I work out how much weight each Hinge can bear?

Each of our Concealed Hinges have varying Axial and Radial Loads; the Axial Load is the force that can be applied to the axis (vertically) and the Radial Load is the force that can be applied to the axis (perpendicular).

In order to work out how much weight each hinge can withstand when hanging a door vertically, Divide the the Axial Load (in Newtons) by 9.81 and convert the number to Kg.

For example, a Hinge has an Axial Load of 750N, therefore the equation would be 750N ÷ 9.81 = 76.45 Kg per Hinge. This would mean that two of these Hinges would be able to withstand a door with a weight of 152.9 Kg.

If you're hanging a door perpendicularly (e.g. a loft hatch or trunk freezer), you would use the same equation but replace Axial Load with Radial Load to work out the weight in which each Hinge can withstand.

Installation Note

Mounting to enclosure frame is either via metric bolts or rivets which you can find here
