Torx Countersunk PT30 Screws for Soft Plastics

Torx Countersunk PT30 Screws are design for use with soft plastic and are available in Zinc Plated Steel (Silver + Black) as well as Stainless Steel. PT30 threads are designed for good performance in the majority of plastics. This thread has low installation torque and can be used on thinner bosses due to the reduced radial stress. These Countersunk Screws can sit flush into a pre countersunk recess, this can be useful to prevent snagging of wires and fabrics. These screws can also be used with Finishing Washers for non-countersunk flat surfaces. A Torx drive is used where higher installation torques are required than a traditional slot or cross recessed drive will support.

Our screws for plastics are all available in three materials:

• Bright Zinc Plated Steel – This is the most commonly used and standard finish as it's economical and suitable for the majority of applications, featuring a bright metallic silver colour.
• Black Zinc Plated Steel – This finish is mechanically identical to the silver colour zinc. They are commonly used for their aesthetic purposes, in industries such as automotive interiors, PC or computer server building or retail displays.
• A2 Stainless Steel – This material has the highest corrosion resistance, usable in industries such as petrol / chemical applications, outdoor applications as well as food / catering.

These fasteners have a Countersunk head but are available in Pan or Flanged. These Screws for Plastic come with a Torx drive, but are available with a Pozi drive.
