Post Caps
Our Post Caps or 'Plastic Post Caps' as they are also known, are available manufactured from either an LDPE or PVC and finished in a RAL Grey unless specified otherwise. Typically installed as a finishing element to a metal fence post, these caps offer the simultaneous benefit of preventing the ingress of water, moisture and dirt that can otherwise effect the lifespan of your post. All of our Post Caps are UV resistant to prevent discolouring, and produced to industry standard sizes including 3 inches (76.2mm), 4 inches (101.6mm) and above, with smaller sizing also available in some instances.
We recommend the use of PVC Post Caps for their added flexibility, where-as the LDPE versions offer increased rigidity in comparison and at a slightly lower cost. For larger projects where price sensitivity is important, we recommend the use of LDPE Plastic Post Caps over their PVC counterparts because of this. Are these Post Caps resistant to UV?
Both our Plastic Post Caps and PVC versions are manufactured from UV stable materials, this prevents discolouration over time as a product generally used for external applications.
Are there Industry Standard sizes or uses for these End Caps?
Yes, these have been designed to fit industry standard Sign Posts at 3 inch (76.2mm) but we also have many other sizes. Common alternative uses for these parts include as Ferrules or End Tips, so are a versatile product.
