Threaded Sealing Caps

These Threaded Sealing Caps, or 'Fluid Sealing Caps' as they are also known, are made from a high quality LDPE plastic. They come with a neoprene rubber disc, which is secured within the head of the cap, which allows for a full seal that can be easily tightened by hand.

Threaded Sealing Caps are great for protecting threads from the ingress of dirt or moisture. They also provide an air-tight seal for fluid or gas filled applications, helping to prevent leakage or air exposure during its employment, hence their wide usage inside a number of Liquid & Gas industries.

These Fluid Sealing Caps are a specialist component for the sealing of threaded barrels, pipes, or containers to prevent leakage and prevent the ingress of foreign substances. Each of these caps is available in a range of thread types to suit, these being BSP, UNF, and Metric.

Benefits of our Sealing Caps:

  • Made from a high quality LDPE Plastic and Neoprene Sealing Ring
  • Provides a strong seal compatible with fluids and gases
  • Available in BSP, UNF, and Metric threads
  • Easily tightened by hand

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the differences between Standard Threaded Caps and Sealing Caps?

The main differences between these products is the fact that one comes with a rubber washer inside the head, this helps to 'seal' off the thread. Standard versions are recommended mainly for protection uses, rather than to provide a quality seal (something often required when working with gas, liquids etc).

What does BSP, Metric and UNF sizing represent?

These units determine the thread type, BSP meaning British Standard Pipe, Metric being metric standard and UNF being Unified. If you're unsure about what thread to use, please contact a member of our team.
