EMC Cable Glands
Our EMC cable glands provide mechanical strain relief, environmental protection and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) for cables and wires. They are compatible with SY cable, a type of flexible braided cable that is widely used in industrial applications.
They are available in a number of styles and metals.
SY glands are commonly used in applications requiring protection from electromagnetic signals, namely enclosures containing sensitive electronics. Including:
- Medical devices
- Automation and robotics
- Power transmission and distribution
- Rail signalling
To protect against such interactions, we offer you two different approaches to EMC cable glands which ensure effective 360° shielding.
These are available with stainless steel contact springs to grip against the braided section of the cable or with earthing cones to sandwich over the braided section.

If you don't mind waiting, we have a Free delivery method for orders over £30, and an economic £4.85 2nd Class delivery for orders between £10-£30.

In most cases we have the facilities to offer you different colours of a product, specific to your requirements. Minimum order quantities may apply depending on the manufacturing technique in question, but please get in touch with any queries you may have.
